The 12th International Congress of SSRI on Sport Sciences (ICSSRI 2020)

 

Sport Sciences Research Institute (SSRI) of Iran invites researchers from around the world to submit abstracts for oral or poster presentation at the 12^th International Congress on Sport Sciences (ICSSRI 2020) to be held from 04^th to 05^th March 2020 in Tehran.  

SSRI, established on 1998, has been a strong institute with long term goals to develop sport sciences to the best standard which will eventually create better sport and exercise scientists, athletes, sports managers and allied support staff.

The aim of the congress is to bring together researchers, practitioners, and policy-makers to discuss issues, tackle challenges, develop professionally, share opinions, find solutions and explore opportunities in the areas of sport sciences. The congress serves the purpose of promoting a tight link between theory and practice and explores different perspectives on the application of research findings into practice.

 

TOPICS

We invite all researchers and students to join ICSSRI 2020, where research, knowledge, and ideas can be efficiently presented and shared. The congress provides a platform to present your research ideas. Topics of the ICSSRI 2020 will include (but are not limited to):

REGISTRATION AND SUBMISSION

Dates of Importance:

-          Abstract Submission Start: 01^st October 2019

-          Abstract Submission Deadline: 05^th January 2020

-          Abstract Acceptance Notification:  4^th February 2020

-          Early Bird Payment Deadline: 21^st December 2020

-          Regular Payment Started from:  5^th January 2020

-          Congress Days: 04^th – 05^th March 2020

 

 

 

GUIDELINES FOR THE ABSTRACT SUBMISSION:

To facilitate the submission process and the subsequent follow up the process, please consider the following guidelines, information, tips, terms, and deadlines mentioned.

• Submission should be submitted in English.
• The word range for the abstract is 250-350.
• We encourage you to send informative abstract which is a compendious summary of a abstract’s substance including its introduction, materials & method, results, and conclusion
• The person who submits the abstract is considered as corresponding author.
• Authors names will be published in certificates in the same order as appeared in the submission system.
• Affiliations will be published in certificates the same as appeared in the submission system.

 

ETHICAL CONSIDERATIONS

• Authorship: Authors must give credit through references or notes to the corresponding author of any idea or concept presented in the abstract or proposal. This includes direct quotations and paraphrases.
• Publication or presentation history: If material in your presentation has been published, presented, or accepted for publication or presentation, this must be disclosed in your abstract or proposal and may make your submission ineligible, depending on the Division/Interest Group.
• Self-Plagiarism (or duplicate publications): Self-plagiarism involves an author presenting earlier published material as original and new. Self-plagiarism is often not an issue, but it must be transparent and limited. A critical issue involved in self-plagiarism is the degree to which it is clear whether the author is drawing from earlier manuscripts/research. Covert self-plagiarism occurs when the author is not transparent when drawing from earlier manuscripts or research; this can constitute a serious ethical transgression.

ABOUT THE REVIEWING PROCESS

• Your abstract will undergo a double-blind peer review by the international scientific committee within two to three weeks after its receipt.
• Results of the abstract review will be sent to the author within four weeks of submission
• The Congress Chair serves as the head of the scientific committee and will the final decision on abstracts.
• Acceptance or rejections of the abstract will be sent to you with reviewer comments.
• If a revision is required, the revised abstract must be sent back within a week
• If your abstract is accepted, you will be invited to register for the 12th International Congress on Sport Sciences

 

PUBLICATION OPPORTUNITIES

No Submission or Publication Charges for Supporting Journals 

 

Congress Proceedings

• All accepted abstracts for the 12th International Congress on Sport Sciences will be published electronically in the congress proceedings with a DOI Number.

 

Important information for the CO – AUTHORS

• Please note a single registration permits only one person to attend the congress
• If the co-authors would like to attend the congress their registration and payment is required to be made independently.
• However, they will be given a discount of 15% from the Non-Presenter’s (Listener’s) registration fee.
• Certificate will be issued for the co–authors upon their registration/payment for the congress.
• Please make prior communications with the organizing committee regards to this matter to enjoy the benefit of the discount.

 

REGISTRATION FEES

• If you are Oral Presenter or as a Poster presenter you should register as a delegate/student.
• If you are a listener you should register as an attendee.
• However, if you cannot participate but still would want to present at the ICSSRI 2020 you can select the virtual presenter.

 

• The congress fees should be paid utmost 1 month after abstract acceptance.
• (*) All types of registration fees include full admission to the congress sessions, congress materials, welcome coffee, 4 coffee breaks and 2 lunches, hotel (3 nights)
• A sightseeing tour can be organized- USD 50
• Students must present a valid student ID issued by their institutions.
• (***)Delegates of congress’s partners without presentation
• If an Abstract is accepted, at least one of the authors is required to register for the congress.
• There would be a Student Dormitory available for foreign students; it does not cost anything and the first 40 students, who applied for that, would be eligible to use it. This type of registration costs only 50 USD.

 

Group, Co-authors, and Discounts

You are eligible for a discounted rate on the registration fee if you are a group of 5 persons and/or more or a co-author of an abstract presentation.

If your group comprises of more than 10 people please contact our organizing committee for a higher percentage on the discount rate.

There would be a Student Dormitory available for foreign students; it does not cost anything and the first 40 students, who applied for that, would be eligible to use it. This type of registration costs only 50 USD.

 

The congress fee should be paid on-site, Tehran.
