Abstract
Purpose: The aim of this study was to Comparison the effect of eight weeks of core stability training at a stable level and TRX on muscle endurance the core region, balance and jump-landing pattern of active women with trunk defects.
Methods: For this study, 36 people participated who were divided into three group control, core stability exercises at a stable and TRX exercises. In this study, tuck jump test was used to evaluate the trunk defect. Therefore, the jump-landing pattern test was used to evaluate the movement pattern and McGill tests were used to evaluate the trunk endurance. Static and dynamic balance were then assessed by stork and Y balance tests, respectively. After the pre-test evaluations, the subjects in the training groups performed core stability exercises at a stable level and TRX for 8 weeks, and the subjects in the control group performed their physical activities. At the end of 8 weeks, the subjects performed the pre-test tests again and their results were recorded. In this study, correlated t-test, covariance analysis and Bonferroni post hoc test were used to compare differences. Data analysis was performed by SPSS software version 24.
Results: The results of this study showed that both training programs had a significant effect on core endurance (P≤0.01), static balance (P≤0.01), dynamic balance (P≤0.01), tuck jump test and jump-landing test (P≤0.01) and the difference between the training groups and the control group was significant (P≤0.01). Also, in comparing the two training programs, it was found that in the total score of endurance test (P≤0.01) and jump-landing test (P≤0.01), the effect of TRX training program was more than the core stability training program at a stable level.
Conclusion: Due to the effect of core stability training programs at a stable level and TRX on endurance, balance and jump landing pattern, the use of this training program to improve these variables is recommended for active women with trunk defects.
