Identification and prioritizing of economic factors in the development of Esteghlal Football Club

Abstract
Background & purpose: Football development is one of the most important programs of sports institutions and its events is the most watched sporting event in the world. The root and core of football development is formed in clubs and in fact, clubs are the main builders of players for themselves, and even the national teams of their country. Therefore, the main purpose of this research is identification and prioritizing of economic factors in the development of Esteghlal Football Club.
Method: The present research is a descriptive-analytical method that is part of applied research in terms of purpose. The statistical population are all experts familiar with development and management in Iran included: faculty members of sport sciences, management, economics; also, managers, athletes and football coach. The convenience and purposeful Sampling was used and for each item, 5 respondents were selected as the research sample. The first stage started with content analysis of the literatures and based on that economics codes extracted for the development of Esteghlal Football Club. In the second stage and the based on the prioritizing of the factors identified in the previous step was distributed the Five-point Likert questionnaire consists of 21 items. SPSS software and Friedman test were used to analyze the data.
Results: The clarity of the club's financial vision, the club's investment in sports tourism and the sustainability of fiscal and credit policies are ranked first to third, respectively, as the most important economic factors in the development of Esteghlal Football Club.
Conclusion: According to the results, the officials and the managers of Esteghlal Football Club are suggested to take action by emphasizing on determining the financial perspective of the club, investing in sports tourism, the sustainability of financial policies, programing to develop and promote Esteghlal Football Club in the economic field.
