Background: In the age of communication and information, the media is considered as one of the most important tools for achieving goals and the strongest factor for the design and dissemination of ideas and the most effective means for influencing cultures and attitudes in the hearts of societies, including sports media. As a tool, they convey the messages of sports to the audience and attract a large number of people to sports, and play a direct or indirect role in achieving many of the development goals of sports, and a special place among sports friends who are a large group. It is dedicated to itself. Along with the expansion of the use of sports media, the culture of mass sports has developed. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to investigate the impact of sports media on the development of championship sports culture.

Methodology:The purpose of this study is to analyze and evaluate the theoretical foundations and studies, which can generally be described as descriptive and review studies.

findings: The results of the study indicate that the use of sports media to a small extent contributes to the development of championship sports culture.

Conclusion: In order to influence the sports media on the development of championship sports culture, measures such as creating a suitable platform for the participation of different groups in the development of championship sports should be taken. On the other hand, sports media should play a more colorful role in the field of talent identification in championship sports. More attention of sports officials and the country's media to sports and the privatization of Iranian sports media, which have a potential role in the development and promotion of championship sports components.
