Abstract
The aim of this study was to design and explain a model for the development of sport for all programs in Iranian state universities. With regard to its nature and the content of work, the current study is of descriptive-survey type. The study population consisted of all 450 professors and members of faculty in departments of physical education and the physical education managers and experts within state universities. Using the Morgan’s table, 219 people were chosen for the sample. The stratified random sampling technique was conducted for the purpose of choosing the sample. To collect the required data, a 113-item questionnaire based on the 5-point Likert scale was applied. To investigate the validity of the questionnaire, content and construct validities were investigated and for the purpose of testing the reliability of the questionnaire, Cronbach’s alpha was used. In order to test the research hypotheses, first the normality of the data was investigated by the Kolmogorov-Smirnov test and after confirming this, Pearson correlation, one-sample t-test, Friedman test, and the second-order confirmatory factor analysis were used. The collected data were investigated using IBM SPSS 18 and Amos 21. The results showed that significant correlations exist between the behavioral and the organizational levels, the behavioral and the environmental levels, and the organizational and the environmental levels in the model. In addition, it was found that the model proposed for the development of a model for sport for all programs in the Iranian state universities has sufficient fitness and validity for making conclusions about relationships between variables. It was found that behavioral, organizational, and environmental factors have positive impacts on the development of a model for sport for all programs. In general, the behavioral, organizational, and environmental levels were able to account for the model of developing a sport for all programs in the Iranian state universities. In addition, these levels themselves were accounted for by the factors and components mentioned in the model. It was found that the organizational level has the highest impact and then, the environmental and behavioral levers are placed next.
