The Relationship between social physical anxietywith sport participation on Khansar city girl students.

Abstract
People are motivated to participate in physical activity for a variety of reasons. Usually, the motivation to participate in training is to increase or maintain fitness and health, to experience a sense of fun, to be with others, and to have psychological benefits.
The overall purpose of the present study was to determine the relationship between social physical anxiety in girl students and sport participation of students in Khansar’s universities.
The method of the present study is based on purpose and purpose of the research and in term of data collection, a descriptive-correlational survey study that was conducted using a questionnaire. The population of this study was the whole girl students of Khansar’s universities (state, Payamenoor, Azad) in the academic year 97-98. Using Morgan’s table 317 people were selected as sample that 254 questionnaires were analyzed in present study. The sampling method was random simple sampling.Data were gathered by a sports participation status questionnaire whose formal and content validity was confirmed by sports practitioners, and social physique anxiety questionnaire (Molt, R.W. and Conroy, D.E. 2000).In order to analyze the data Pearson correlation coefficient were used.
The findings showed that social physical anxiety and but sport participation has low rate.Furthermore,there is a negativesignificant relationship between social physical anxiety and sport participation (r = -0.861, p = 0.011). Social physical anxiety (β = -0.86) is a significant predictor in sport participation.
Conclusion: Considering that social physical anxiety is one of the social barriers to participation in sport activities, it is recommended that psychologists be active in identifying students with social physical anxiety and control it in sport places.
