Abstract
Nowadays Assessment Of Musculoskeletal Impairments Are Very Important Between The Researchers And Use Of A Suitable Methods Can Help Them. For This Reason, There Are Several Methods than assess Musculoskeletal Impairments. One Of This Methods, Is Cornell Musculoskeletal Discomfort Questionnaire (CMDQ) That Use When The Individual Has Musculoskeletal Impairment Associated With Pain And The Other One Is New York Posture Test That Use For Screening Of Huge Population. The Purpose Of This Study Was Comparison Between CMDQ And New York Posture Test.
Seventy Seven Male And Female (Average ± Standard Deviation Of Age 39.5±6.6 Years, Height 167.7±9.6 Cm And Weight 75.1±15.0 Kg) Were Selected And Participated In This Study. The CMDQ Were Filled By The Participants. The New York Posture Test Were Used By The Testers. The Validity And Reliability Of Cornell [1] And New York Posture Test [2] Has Been Reported By Patriotic Researchers. For Data Analysis, The Pearson Correlation Coefficient Has Been Utilized.
Since The P-Value Is Less Than 0.05 (R= -0.02, Sig=0.75), So There Is No Significant Relationship Between CMDQ And New York Posture Test.
Based On This Study, There Are Low Correlation Between CMDQ And New York Posture Test. Maybe The Reason For This Low Correlation Is Some Individuals With Undesirable Posture Have Good Flexibility And Some Individuals With A Desirable Posture With Low Deviation From Good Posture Have Not Good Flexibility And maybe this low flexibility cause pain in these individuals. This Results Are Compatible With Some Authors [3] And This Reason Cause Low Correlation Between CMDQ And New York Posture Test. So It is Recommend That This Study Be Done on samples of different ages And Larger Population.
