Feasibility Study of Sport Tourism Development in Ardabil Province Focusing on Mountainous Sports Potentials

Abstract
Analyzing the potentials and potentials of each geographic region is the first effective step in developing tourism in that region. The purpose of this study was to investigate the sport tourism capabilities in Ardabil mountainous province. To achieve this goal through questionnaire and interview with 63 members of Ardebil climbing and climbing board members, four parameters of slope, slope, ground and height as influential factors in the implementation and development of mountaineering, climbing wall, Climbing range and paragliding were selected. By analyzing the questionnaires, scores for each layer of classes were extracted in terms of their impact. Then, the final layer was prepared by weight overlay in Arc GIS 10 software. The results showed that 83% of the mountains were suitable for mountaineering, 68% for wall climbing, 28% for paragliding and 25% for climbing.
Ardebil province with 17953 square kilometers is located in the northwest of Iranian plateau and is one of the most beautiful and attractive provinces of Iran in terms of diversity of tourist and historical attractions. Sabalan Mountain is 5 km far from Ardebil. Sabalan Peak, formed by a cone-shaped volcano, is known as Sultan and is the highest point with a maximum elevation of 4844 meters. Sabalan Mountain with 13 peaks: small Sabalan, Dagham Dagh, Genovar Daghi, Deli Ali, Ayi Ghari, Haj Zal, Eiri Ghari, Baba Maghsoud, Ghezel Lamb, Ghezel Dagh, Thousand Nails, Ishikh Chikhmaz, Gogi Dagh is one of the best conditions Turning the region into a tourism hub, rock climbing and mountaineering has the world over and the results of this research can help environmental planners and environmental planners to increase their efficiency in attracting more nature and specialized tourism sport.
