Abstract
Patellofemoral pain syndrome is one of the most common musculoskeletal disorders in athletes or active young adults.1-4 The pain existing in anterior knee or posterior patella without other knee pathologies is called PFPS. The prevalence of PFPS is about 1.5% to 7% in patients referring to medical centers with more occurrence in females and athletes.5,6 Although the main cause of this syndrome is unknown, some researchers believe that the pain can be attributed to some biomechanical, soft tissue or muscular abnormalities.7,8 This syndrome causes pain and functional impairment in the corresponding patients and may result in chronic pain and/or weaknesses in quadriceps muscles, if not treated well. The purpose of this study was to The effect of eight weeks selected training program on Decrease pain in women with patellofemoral pain syndrome.

30 housewives with patellofemoral pain syndrome in Bahar city of Hamedan province, aged 35-50 years old, participated in the study and were randomly assigned to experimental (n=15) and control (n=15) groups. The selected training program for the experimental group was conducted for eight weeks and three sessions each week, with full supervision of the exercises. The dependent variables including pain were measured in 8 weeks. The research hypothesis test was performed using repeated measure ANOVA, dependent and independent t test at 0.05.

The findings of this study showed that selected training program had significance effect on pain in Elderly Women with patellofemoral pain syndrome to compared the Control group (p≤0/05).
results showed that the effect of 8 selected training program had significance effect on pain in Elderly Women with patellofemoral pain syndrome to compared the Control group. It therapists recommended to include 8 selected training program in order to enhance these variables.
